What we strive to create is not simply beautiful attire.

It is attire in which the two of you, on your most important day, can be yourselves and truly enjoy every moment. Attire you will remember, together with the memories of that day, whenever you look back at the photographs years later.

Since our founding, Atelier Yuka has pursued attire like this.

History

Creating attire since 1962

Atelier Yuka (ATELIER YUKA Co., Ltd.) is a maker of dresses, tuxedos and suits that has brought many new ideas to Japan's bridal industry. Having inherited the haute couture of Jean-Louis Scherrer of Paris, and brought under its umbrella a domestic sewing factory that has produced garments for GIVENCHY, Hanae Mori, Yumi Katsura, Yuki Torii and others, it has grown into what it is today.

    Founded

  2. 1968

    Conceived “an outfit change for the groom, too”

    • Designed and introduced morning coats and colored tuxedos that let the groom change outfits beautifully as a star of the day

  3. 1975

    Began designing and selling wedding dresses

    • Growing as a leading maker of Western-style bridal wear
    • Inheriting the haute couture of Jean-Louis Scherrer of Paris, creating a wide range of dresses

  4. 1992

    Made the largest tuxedo in Japan

    • Custom-tailored Japan's largest tuxedos for the sumo wrestlers Akebono and Konishiki
    • Provided attire for the glamorous weddings of athletes and celebrities

  5. Today

    Still creating attire in our atelier

    • Providing attire not only for weddings but also for dramas, films, TV programs, music shows, award ceremonies and more
    • We continue to create attire for ever more diverse weddings in our atelier today
